my two cents about the catholic church birth control thing

okay i get what your saying but since when is it okay to force a religion to go against one of their fundamental beliefs? if a religious institution doesn’t support birth control, they shouldn’t have to hand out birth control. the members who work at these locations should know that their insurance doesn’t cover it and then choose not to work there. the government forcing religious people to do things is just as bad as religions trying to force the government to do things.

i do believe that insurance should cover birth control. I agree that it should be a law. but i don’t think catholic charities and hospitals should be forced to do things that against their fundamental beliefs. But then you have the statistics that 98% of catholic women will use birth control at some point in their lives. i’m on birth control and i’m catholic.

basically what im saying is that there should be complete separation of church and state, meaning religion stays out of the government and the government stays out of religion. obviously this doesn’t count for like honor killings and things but for the little stuff, they should just stay separate.

don’t go to catholic charities and hospitals if you are looking for birth control.
